About Jason

First and foremost, I am a servant of the Triune God of the Scriptures who rescued me from the kingdom of this world and transferred me to the Kingdom of the Beloved Son. I am also the grateful husband of Heather and father to Kate and Adam.

I have the pleasure of serving as pastor of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Florien, La.

I earned a B.A. from Louisiana College, an M.Div at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and I am a Ph.D candidate in Biblical Studies at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary under the supervision of Thor Madsen and Ched Spellman. My dissertation focuses upon a canonical reading of the Apocalypse and John’s usage of New Testament texts and allusions.

I serve as the Provost Fellow for Jason Duesing, teach online for Midwestern, and periodically contribute to Midwestern’s For the ChurchMy articles can be found here.
